  • Art as Research

Artistic practice as a method of inquiry

I do not see art as the outcome of research.

I see it as research itself.

Each work begins with a question rather than an answer. It is not created to illustrate an idea, but to investigate it. The artwork becomes a place where perception, geometry, material, and consciousness interact, generating knowledge that cannot be reached through theory alone.

My background in design has shaped the methodology of my practice. It taught me precision, structure, iteration, and critical observation. Art, in turn, expanded that methodology beyond problem-solving, allowing uncertainty, intuition, and open-ended inquiry to become essential parts of the process.

    Every artwork is a hypothesis.

    Every exhibition is an experiment.

Every observer becomes an active participant in the research.

Rather than producing objects, I develop successive investigations into a single enduring question: how do we construct reality through perception?

Geometry serves as a research tool rather than a formal language. Materials become collaborators rather than passive media. The encounter between artwork and observer becomes the place where meaning emerges.

In this sense, my practice occupies the intersection of contemporary art, design, and artistic research.

It is through making that I think.

It is through perception that I investigate.

And it is through art that knowledge becomes experience.
