Acácio Viegas (b. 1976, Viana do Castelo, Portugal) is a contemporary visual artist and designer whose work explores the intersection between geometric abstraction, technology, and consciousness.

Rooted in the legacies of Concrete Art and Constructivism, his practice reinterprets those traditions through the visual language of the digital age — where industrial materials, vector lines, and chromatic intensity coexist with emotion and symbolism.

Viegas’ recent works combine aluminum composite panels, UV printing, tradicional and spray paint, creating hybrid pieces that inhabit the threshold between painting and sculpture. His approach can be described as Sensitive Neo-Futurism, a synthesis between human gesture and algorithmic logic, between precision and presence, between matter and spirit.

Through these compositions, geometry becomes a living code, a visual meditation on balance, transformation, and the interconnectedness between the physical and the invisible.

My practice explores the relationship between geometry, perception, and consciousness. Through abstraction, I investigate how we construct meaning and experience the world.

Rather than representing reality, I create situations that invite observation, reflection, and awareness. Geometry becomes more than a visual language—it becomes a structure of thought. Each work is conceived as an open inquiry, completed only through its encounter with the observer.

I see art as a form of research: a way of making visible the invisible processes through which perception shapes our understanding of reality.
